This week was basically a tale of the "haves" and "have nots". Half of us finished with a
record of 12-3 or better, while the other half of us finished with a record of 9-6 or worse.
The games looked difficult to predict, but Brad, Phil, Tony, and myself each picked 13 of
15 games correctly, all
tying for the week's best record. Beth keeps grasping for upsets, though, and instead grabs
the week's only sub-500 record at 7-8. While she officially moves into last place, there is
no similar action on the other end of the rankings. Even with a great mark of 12-3, Kerry's
lead erodes by yet another game this week as Phil earns a record of 13-2 and closes the gap
to one. The contest rankings could kind of be divided into three separate tiers: the upper
tier of 4 players is separated by only 3 games; the middle tier of the next 4 players is
separated by 2 games; and the bottom tier includes the remaining players just trying to
stay above water. It has been a rough season, but with only 4 full weeks to go and then
playoffs, the end is indeed in sight.
