This turned out to be quite a wild week for this contest. Not many upsets among the games,
and hence those of us who picked upsets ended up on the losing end this week. Alan in
particular had a rough week, scoring the worst mark of us all at 8-7. Although, Jay, Cody,
and Satish also had a tough time with their picks, going 9-6. Usually, 9-6 would be a good
record, but not this week, when 8 of us had eleven or more wins. Most amazingly
among them is Ray's almost perfect 14-1 record. He would have had the first 100% record
that I've ever seen, had the Raiders not lost the game (and the pick for all of us -- except
for Beth -- good job!) So Ray's
impressive mark brings him above 500 (yet he still remains in last place -- that lost
week of picks still hurts). On the opposite end of the rankings, Kerry kicked Alan out of
first down to third
place with a fantastic 13-2 record, and now leads second place Phil by 4 games. That lead
would only be 2 games if Tennessee could have avoided another 1-yard-line nightmare on
Monday night. But Baltimore pulled off the amazing victory, handing only Phil and Brad an
extra loss. Kerry now has been in first place for three straight weeks, but we know now that
it doesn't take much for things to change quickly...
